How Can I Help?
Volunteer help and donations are always needed to allow us to carry out our mission to serve those in need in our service area. Below are some ways to get involved. Please feel free to contact Samaritan House to learn about opportunities to help in our food pantry, with special programs, or with fundraising events. Thank you for your assistance!
Samaritan House is looking for volunteers who will work a 4 hour per week shift in the pantry. Please note: If you are interested in volunteering in the pantry at Samaritan House you must be at least 14 years old. This will be a consistent, weekly position and may require some physical work. We are also looking for volunteers who will be available on a substitute basis. If you are interested, please call Samaritan House at 586-336-9956 or send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.

Donate Pantry Items
We have many clients who need sugar-free, gluten-free and low sodium foods. Children's snacks are always appreciated.
If you can donate any of these items, please bring them to Samaritan House during business hours or to any of these convenient locations: Bruce Township Offices, Graubner Library, Kezar Library and Fifth Third Bank on Van Dyke in Romeo.
We appreciate any non-perishable food items, paper products, cleaning supplies or toiletries that you can donate. Thank you!
Donate Change at a Local Business
Local businesses support our efforts by displaying Samaritan House Making Change canisters. The canister is placed in a prominent position near the cash register for customers to drop in coins after making their purchase.
