Samaritan House holds events throughout the year to raise funds needed to provide services to low income people living within our service area.  Additionally, some area organizations hold events and then donate proceeds to Samaritan House.  Check this page often to see the latest news on events that benefit Samaritan House.

The 7th Annual Pasta Dinner is a Sellout!

We are proud to announce that we exceeded our goal of raising $10,000 at our 7th Annual Pasta Dinner! We would like to thank the greater northwestern Macomb County community and its sponsors for their generous support.

We especially want to thank the event sponsor, Michigan Credit Union League & Affiliates, and additional sponsors Heidebreicht Chevrolet, State Representative Pete Lucido, Kiwanis of Romeo Area, Preceptor Delta Beta of Beta Sigma Phi, Michigan Oil and Gas Association, Tim and Margaret Trublowski, and Macomb Welding and Assembly LLC for making this event a success.

The February 1st event was highlighted when Shelby Township Supervisor, Rick Stathakis, presented a $1,500 check to Samaritan House donated by Roco Juncovic of Utica Van Dyke Towing. Kroger, located at 26 Mile and Van Dyke, matched the $1,500 gift!

We also would like to thank John and Rick Salsido of Wayward Wind, and strolling magician/comedian Jason Abbott, for the wonderful entertainment provided for the enjoyment of our dinner guests.

Mark your calendar! We have confirmed next year's Pasta & Chicken Dinner date with Greystone Golf Club and Banquet Center. It will be held on Wednesday, February 7, 2018.

Samaritan House’s 4th Annual Fashion, Flowers & Food Fête netted more than $7,200 on behalf of our clients. We couldn’t have accomplished this success without the more than 30 dedicated volunteers who made the event possible. We have many people to thank, including Richard and Carol Tapper; Wayne McDonald; Gary Schroka, our emcee; Sara-rose Melby Photography; and Premier Party Rentals.

Samaritan House’s Diamond Sponsor, Atlas Jewelers, of Shelby Township, donated a .30 carat, round, brilliant diamond valued at over $1,100, as well as 16 cubic zirconias to the event, held June 11 at Tapper Gardens. Some raffle baskets contained a cubic zirconia but one raffle basket contained the diamond! Thank you to Atlas Jewelers.

The afternoon included self-guided tours of 3.5-acre Tapper Gardens, a fashion show featuring clothing and accessories from Samaritan House’s Fashion Sponsor Felycia Wendt, of The Basement Salon & The Attic Beau-tique, of Washington Township, and Big Time-Bag Time, of Shelby Township. Appetizers and desserts were provided by Thee Office Pub & Cookery, Rocks ’n’ Roots Landscape and Pond Supplies, Belgard, Wellbridge of Romeo, Westview Orchards and Winery, Pamelas Catering and Achatz Homemade Pie Co.

Additional sponsors making the event a success were Beaumont, The Mitt.TV, Christian Financial Credit Union and First Independent-Descamps Insurance Agency, Almont. More than 200 community members attended.

Thank you to everyone that sponsored and participated in our 19th annual golf outing at Heather Hills Golf Club a success! Thanks to all of you, over $29,000 was raised to allow us to serve our clients for approximately three months!
