Volunteer help and donations are always needed to allow us to carry out our mission to serve those in need in our service area. Below are some ways to get involved. Please feel free to contact Samaritan House to learn about other opportunities to help in the pantry, with special programs, or fundraising events. Thank you for your assistance!
4th Annual Sticks of Romeo Mud Bog
Volunteers are needed on Saturday, May 5th, to assist with parking cars or working the front gate. The event takes place off of 34 Mile Rd. east of Campground Rd. There will be a volunteer meeting on March 10th at 5:00pm. Please contact Kim at Samaritan House (586-336-9956) for more information.
Auction Items Needed
We increase our event income by conducting both silent and live auctions at several of our fund raising events. On July 28th our 14th Annual Golf Outing will be held at Heather Hills, and on August 18th our 2nd Annual Bowling Extravaganza will be held at Shelby Lanes. If you have auction items to donate to either of these events, please contact Samaritan House at 586-336-9956. We will be happy to give you a receipt for your donated item. Items that sell well are tickets for events or plays; services such as spa, house cleaning, hair cuts or auto care; sports memorabilia, jewelry, gift baskets, etc. This is a wonderful way to present your business to our local residents.
