DTE Energy is offering their buffer property, located in Washington at 12700 30 Mile Road, to be used as a garden. The produce from this project will go to the Macomb Food Program, St. Teresa of Evita Food Program, Salvation Army - Mt. Clemens, Samaritan House, and Turning Point.
To make this project a success help is needed: preparing the garden, creating walkways, planting seeds and seedlings, and harvesting crops. Obviously this will be a spring, summer, and fall project.
If you or your group is interested in helping grow fresh food for our low income clients, please contact Marc Zupmore, DTE Energy Gardens Project Manager at zupmorem@dteenergy.com.
You can visit dteenergy.com/pdfs/gardensVolunteer.pdf for additional information and a schedule of volunteer hours.

It took time, donations, and participation of many people to raise this money. The Samaritan House Board of Directors, volunteers, and clients thank everyone for their involvement.
